The craft beer scene in WA has skyrocketed in recent years and brewers are popping up all over the city and beyond. Little Creatures, Fremantle
This place is undoubtedly the grandfather of the WA craft beer scene. Located in the suburb of Fremantle along the water’s edge, here you can watch the world go by as you sit and enjoy a cold brew with views of the bustling fishing harbor. Little creatures loves to savor the flavor in their brews and on their table. Tempt your taste buds with their tantalizing combinations and pair them with some delicious dishes for an even more mouthwatering experience. The Old Brewery, Perth City
As its name implies this is in fact one of the oldest breweries in WA with more than a century long history of brewing. Although the brewery may have got its roots in the old days brewing WA classics such as Emu Export and Swan Draught it has gone through a major shift recently. After a long time of ceased production the Old Brewery is now home to the Riverside Brewhouse. This well loved microbrewery has a wide range of brews that can be enjoyed while taking in the stunning Swan River views.
Indian Ocean Brewing Company, Mindarie
For starters this brewery is in a stunning but little known tourist destination in Perth. The Marina Mindarie, overlooks a stunning Mediterranean inspired boardwalk with sweeping waterfront views of the Indian Ocean. Here at the Indian Ocean Brewery you will find modern Australian dishes and microbrew craft beer. Come here for a chilled afternoon listening to the waves and enjoying the view while indulging in a cold one before setting out to explore the rest of the marina.
Feral Brewing, Swan Valley
This place is definitely in the big leagues when it comes to brewing. It is all about the beer here and it shows, in flavor, reputation, as well as international awards. Their world class range of beers features 16 beers on tap that are constantly changing to quench the thirst of the many beer enthusiasts who step through the door. Try anything from your classic pale ale all the way to a Russian Imperial Stout.
Elmar’s in the Valley, Swan Valley
If an authentic German Biergarten vibe is what you are after then look no further than Elmar’s. This German-Asutralian inspired affair offers world class home-style cooked food alongside boutique craft beer. But the best part of this place may have to be the park sized beer garden compete with kids playground, gift shop, and general store. Pop in for a visit and bring the whole family for a day in the sun.
